Skittle Squad

Our LGBTQ+ students meet once a month to discuss topics important to them and any issues/questions they have. It is a safe space to be yourself and everybody is welcome. Every month we have a guest speaker from the community who does a Q&A for our squad.

We meet monthly as a community but are available anytime if you need anything at all!

See Miss Lindsay Kelly, Mrs Howells or Miss Powell for more information.

LGBTQ+ parent support group – We meet once a term.

As a parent or carer you may have understandable questions or concerns if you think that your child might be lesbian, gay, bi, trans or just generally questioning/exploring their sexuality and or gender. Or you may be a parent of a LGBTQ+ student who would like to meet other parents and share your experiences. Perhaps you can offer advice/support to others.

All young people need support and for LGBTQ+ students, getting kind and clear support can be the key to thriving and going on to have happy and healthy lives.

It seems that every day we hear more about sexual orientation and gender identity and for many parents/carers trying to get help with what it all means can be very challenging.

While we cannot promise to explain everything, we can suggest some ways to help you to support your children through what can be a sensitive and stressful time.

We are excited to be working together with our families and our termly meetings.
